Second Superstar Released By WWE
December 8, 2019WWE has confirmed the release of another Superstar today.
Earlier today we learned that Sin Cara had been released by the WWE. Not long after, WWE also put out the word that former Smackdown Tag Team Champion Luke Harper has also released from the company.
“WWE has come to terms on the releases of Jonathan Huber (Luke Harper) and Sin Cara. WWE wishes them all the best in their future endeavors.”

Back in April Harper went public with asking for his release. Not long after he went public, it was reported that WWE had denied the release. Along with denying the release, they also added six months to his contract due to time missed being out with an injury.
In an interesting note to all of this, it was reported a week or so ago that Harper had filed a trademark for his old independent wrestling name “Brodie Lee.” Now I am not saying that he knew that release was coming and if he did not then this is a great coincident. One would assume he knew his contract was coming up after the six months that were added on earlier in the year.
One would think just like with most WWE releases, a 90-day no-compete clause was attached to said release and if so he would be free to start working matches in early March.
