Rumored List Of Matches For WrestleMania 36
January 28, 2020A card for WrestleMania is shaping up.
WrestleMania 36 comes to us on April 5th inside Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Going into the Royal Rumble we really didn’t know much of anything planned for WrestleMania, yet know we know a few matches possible for the show.
At the Royal Rumble Drew McIntyre was successful in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Then the next night on RAW McIntyre announced that he would be challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. This is the first match officially announced.
Also at the Royal Rumble, we saw Charlotte Flair win the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She teased announcing her challenge on RAW and then thought against it. According to multiple reports, Charlotte Flair is set to challenge Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania for the NXT Championship.
Keeping in line with the women, it has been reported that Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend the RAW Women’s Champion against Shayna Baszler. The former NXT Champion was made to look very strong and like a beast in the Royal Rumble even though she fished as the runner up. They also have the dynamic of Baszler being friends with Ronda Rousey and wanting to take the title from Lynch as revenge for Lynch beating Rousey last year at WrestleMania.
The final big thing to come out of the Royal Rumble was the return of Edge. Edge would also appear on Monday Night RAW the next night with a very emotional promo about coming home. Randy Orton would then come out and pretend as if he was happy and wanted to reform Rated RKO. That was all a ploy for Orton to actually hit Edge with an RKO. Orton would then hit Edge with a chair and give him a one maned conchairto seemingly setting up their match at WrestleMania.
When looking at the top WrestleMania match for Friday Night Smackdown, right now it is being reported that “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt would be defending the title against Roman Reigns. If they do the same thing they have in the past then one would expect reigns to win the Elimination Chamber in March to earn this title shot.
As far as other matches being discussed for WrestleMania are two multi-team Tag Team Championship matches. The first would be a four-way TLC match with The New Day defending the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. The other teams would be Miz and John Morrison and The Usos. As far as the fourth team goes, who that maybe was not indicated to us but one would think may Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode or Heavy Machinery.
We were also heard that the Women’s Tag Team Championships would be on the line with the champions Asuka and Kairi Sane representing RAW. The other teams would be one from Smackdown, one from NXT and one as a team of former superstars/legend.
Other than the WWE Championship match none of the other rumored matches have been announced and could be changed with 68 days left till WrestleMania
