Rocky Johnson Passes Away At The Age Of 75
January 15, 2020Today we are saddened to report the passing of ‘Soulamn’ Rocky Johson. Johnson passes away at the age of 75. Younger fans may know him as the father of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
The news of Johnson’s passing was first posted on social media by the Cauliflower Allet Club.
Horrible news to pass along. We just learned that Rocky Johnson passed away today at the age of 75. His accolades in this business, all the people he influenced, all his accomplishments, and we are so deeply sorry and wish his family nothing but the most love at this time.
Johnson’s career spanned from the 1960’s through the 1980’s retiring in 1991. Johnson wrestled for the National Wrestling Alliance from 1964 to 1982. Johnson then wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation from 1982 through 1985. Johnson’s biggest career moment came in 1983 when alongside Tony Atlas when they became the first black tag team to win the WWF Tag Team Champions as the Soul Patrol. Johnson was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2008.
