Reason WWE Will Not Have Fans At The Royal Rumble
January 12, 2021Fans will not be at the Rumble due to logistics.
Coming up on January 31st is the WWE Royal Rumble event. This is considered the second biggest WWE show of the year every year. For the past few years, WWE has run it inside a baseball stadium and the Thunderdome is currently in a baseball stadium. Yet, as reported recently WWE will not be bringing fans in live.
Now according to WrestleVotes on Twitter, they state that one reason WWE will not have fans in attendance is that the time constraints to take things down, set everything up, and take it down and set everything up again.
Still getting a ton of Royal Rumble / fan attendance questions. The fact of the matter is WWE views the stress, manpower and complete undertaking of removing the ThunderDome for one night as just too much to make it all work. Sad but true. The wait continues.

The problem here is having to run everything in the same building. When WWE had run in baseball stadiums over the past few years, they were able to do it easily because RAW and Smackdown were run in another building. Previously they would take up to a week to get the stadium ready for the Royal Rumble and now they would not have till have Talking Smack is filmed to start work on the Rumble set after they take down toe current setup for the WWE ThunderDome. then they would have less than 24 hours after The Royal Rumble to get the Rumble set down and the ThunderDome set back up.
