Reason Why Rey Mysterio Missed Last Night’s RAW

Dom had to fill in for his dad against Veer.

Last night going into Monday Night RAW it was being advertised that Rey Mysterio was doing to face Veer. As the show started it was noted how Veer was actually going to face Dominik. The match ended up going about two minutes or so and they ended up having to Veer attack Dominik after the match and having to be stretchered out. There was no reference to why Rey was not there but now we know why.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer stated that Rey Mysterio missed RAW this week because of “medical issues.” Meltzer stated, “It’s not false advertising or they changed their mind. It was he was unavailable tonight. So they put Dominik in the place and Dominik just got destroyed. So, they could probably do Rey in a week or two.”

As far as what the medical issues for Rey are, that was not actually stated by Meltzer. Mysterio was not the only one that missed RAW this week as Rhea Ripley missed the show due to being “in protocol” after also missing Smackdown last week as well.
