Reason Why AEW Brought In Satnam Singh On Dynamite

AEW is building towards their India audience.

Last night in the main event of AEW Dynamite we saw Samoa Joe defeat Minoru Suzuki to become the new ROH Television Champion. After the match Jay Lethal and Sanoya Dutt came out onto the stage and the lights went out. When the lights came back on Satnam Singh was in the ring and attacked Joe. He laid him out after placing him in a vice grip. The three then stood over Joe together as the show went off the air.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer says bringing in Singh and placing him with Dutt specifically is a play to build up their brand in India. AEW has a television deal in India with Eurosport India which is owned by Discovery. Meltzer said with Time Warner and Discovery merging had a lot to do with this to try and make Discovery happy. It was said just as a play to build up the Indian market and with both Singh and Dutt being fluent in Indian that is why they have been chosen for this spot.

Singh himself actually had a workout and a look with WWE at the Performance Center back in 2017 and nothing came of it. As far as Singh being with All Elite Wrestling, Singh was announced as signing with the company back on September 23, 2021. He has been training at the Nightmare Factory in Atlanta since then,

If we do hear anything else regarding Satnam Singh making his AEW debut, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
