Orton has time to not rush things.

Yesterday news came out that former WWE World Champion Randy Orton may have signed a new deal with WWE. The reported new deal was said to be for five years and lock him in till 2029. In a new interview, Orton confirmed he signed a new contract.

While speaking with MARCA, Orton was asked about challenging Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship where Orton said that is something he may do but does not have to rush into that. He noted that he has signed a new five-year deal and all the things he wants to do he does not have to rush right now.

“I know you’re alluding to Cody [Rhodes] and his title and maybe I’d like to do it later, but I don’t think I should rush it. I’m going to keep doing this for a long time. I just signed a five-year contract extension and I don’t have to rush it. I’ve got all the time in the world as far as I’m concerned. I feel great. I feel healthy.”

Right now Randy Orton in engaged in a program with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther where Orton will be challenging for the title at Bash In Berlin. With Orton locked in for five more years and stating that he feels good and healthy, it looks like we have a lot more to come from The Viper.
