Possible & Rumored Draft Picks For Night 2 Of The 2020 WWE Draft
October 12, 2020Who could do were in night two of the draft.
Last Friday night on Smackdown we saw the first night of the 2020 WWE Draft. 32 superstars were drafted to RAW and Smackdown and four were left as free agents. Tonight on RAW 49 superstars are available to be drafted and night one could have projected and foreshadowed some of tonight’s draft picks. Also, we have been told by a few sources of moves that they have been hearing for tonight since Friday. Just remember that with Vince Mcmahon being in charge, it is possible that any plan he had Friday could be changed by tonight’s RAW.
First off on Smackdown we saw The Hurt Business drafted and staying on RAW. With that move that keeps Bobby Lashley and the United States Championship on Mondays. That leads us to think that the current Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn will be drafted by and remaining on Friday Night Smackdown. If one mid-card title is already drafted to RAW the other needs to go to Smackdown.
Speaking of champions, the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions in Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were drafted RAW. Since RAW drafted Tag Team Champions, then Smackdown needs champions as well and that could mean The Street Profits will be drafted to the blue draft. The other reason they are likely being drafted to Fridays is that Montez Ford’s wife Bianca Belair was already drafted to Smackdown and they like to keep married couples on the same brand.
Another champion not yet drafted is the 24/7 Champion R-Truth. Over the last few weeks, we have seen Truth do a lot with Drew Gulak and Akira Tozawa so that looks like Truth and the 24/7 Championship stays on RAW since Gulak was drafted to RAW already. Plus with RAW being a 3-hour show there is the room and time for an extra title to occupy a segment or two on Mondays opposed to Fridays.
Speaking Of the 24/7 Title, if that title stays on RAW then so will Akira Tozawa. The only reason we would think they move Tozawa off RAW is if he would maybe go back to NXT to be in the Cruiserweight Title picture and that does not seem possible. We have been told that Vince thinks Tozawa is hilarious in the 24/7 Title skits so that is another reason we think he stays were that title is, and that seems to be RAW.
The Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley is a tricky one. We know that RAW has drafted Asuka and the RAW Women’s Championship, so you would think that Bayley would have to go to Smackdown since her title needs to stay on the blue brand. Looking at it like that you think that is the obvious and only move but it’s not. We have been told here at PWUnlimited that going into the draft there was a push to move Bayley to RAW. You may think that is not possible, that would not leave Smackdown without a Women’s Champion but not quite. Bayley is defending her title against Sasha Banks at Hell in a Cell and if Sasha wins the match she keeps the title on Smackdown. Yes drafting Bayley tonight to RAW would basically spoil that finish of that match but it is something that has been talked about for a little while now.
If you move Bayley to RAW and put the title on Sasha, that opens things up for Banks to have some interesting title matches on Smackdown and one could be against Charlotte Flair. It has been told to us that there has been heavy talks of moving the 12-time Women’s Champion from RAW to Smackdown. Charlotte is someone they feel can help freshen things up on a different brand when it is needed. Also, Flair being out right now and coming back on Smackdown could be a nice twist.
As we saw last year, if you put Charlotte on one brand then her fiance Andrade has to be on the same brand. Last year they were split up and there was a big hassle made about it with Andrade moved back to RAW to stay with Charlotte. Moving Andrade to Smackdown could also be made to keep him away from Angel Garza so both men, especially Garza can branch out and really start a good singles run on the main roster. Garza has already been drafted to RAW so if you want the two separated then Andrade to Smackdown is the move to do.
If Drew McIntyre retains the WWE Championship at Hell In A Cell against Randy Orton the hope would be that he moves on to another challenger. With no real heel challengers on RAW past Orton, you may need to move one over from Smackdown and a name that has been told to us for that spot could be Sheamus. Sheamus just finished up his program with Big E and McIntyre versus Sheamus for the title could be really good. We have been told that at one point it was pitched for Corbin to be in the spot but more were for it being Sheamus over Corbin.
Speaking of possible challengers for Drew McIntyre, you can move over Bray Wyatt. There was at one point a plan for The Fiend to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship on Smackdown and that was even teased with Alexa Bliss. We have been told and even WrestleVotes on Twitter reported last week that it looks like Wyatt will be moving back over to the red brad.
Speaking of Bray Wyatt, if you move The Fiend over to RAW then you have to move Alexa Bliss. If not then all of the character development and evolution Bliss has been doing over the past few months would all be for nothing. She can still act twisted and crazy when he is mentioned, but if he is on RAW, then he can not be seen with her and it would not make sense. So if you but Wyatt to RAW then Alexa Bliss would have to be moved as well.
Another move that has been told to us is Kevin Owens from Raw to Smackdown. Right now on RAW Owens is in a program with Aleister Black. Tonight on RAW the two will face off in a No Disqualification match. If Black picks up the victory that could foreshadow Owens’ move from the red brand to the blue brand.
Finally, that last move we have been told about that has been discussed is moving Braun Strowman to Monday Night RAW. We have seen Strowman on RAW multiple times over the last month for RAW Underground but we also saw him take on Keith Lee last Monday night with a tease of something between the two continuing. Another reason we think that Strowman could be moving over is that Drew Gulak and Dana Brooke were drafted to RAW. Prior to the draft, just like with Strowman, both Gulak and Brooke had been appearing on RAW foreshadowing their move before the draft.
Remember these are predictions based on night one draft picks and things we have been told since Friday’s Smackdown. Plans for anything draft related could change even within the last few minutes going into RAW and even after RAW goes on the air if Vince gets a new idea. With that, if we hear anything else regarding tonight’s night two of the 2020 WWE Draft, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
I learned a lot from this article. Keep up the great work!
