Possible Challenger For AJ Styles At SummerSlam

The IC Champion needs an opponent for SummerSlam.

SummerSlam is coming to us just one week from this Sunday. The word going around is that the show will emanate from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. With that, the current Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles needs a challenger for the biggest party of the summer.

First Reported by PWInsider, the plan right now for AJ Styles is to be challenged at SummerSlam by Jeff Hardy. Hardy is coming off of a feud with Sheamus as Hardy was victorious in that feud. Also, last week on Smackdown Hardy technically defeated King Corbin when he was attacked by Sheamus who only did it to make sure Corbin lost. Styles is coming of successfully defending his title against both Matt Riddle and Gran Metalic.

Smackdown for this week is being filmed today at the WWE Performance Center and from what we have been told by one source, an angle setting this match was set to be filmed today.
