Opening Segment Announced For Tonight’s Smackdown
March 28, 2025A champion will kick off Smackdown in London.
Tonight WWE Smackdown comes to us from the O2 Arena in London, and coming into the day, only three things had been announced for the show. A WrestleMania contract signing and two title matches. Now, WWE has announced who will be kicking off the show.
WWE has announced that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will kick off tonight’s Smackdown. As of right now, John Cena has not been announced for tonight’s broadcast in London, so one would assume he is not expected to appear.
There is no rest for the Undisputed WWE Champion on the turbulent Road to WrestleMania. Just days after his second confrontation with John Cena in as many weeks, Cody Rhodes is set to kick off SmackDown in London, Friday at 8/7 C on USA.
As far as tonight’s Smackdown goes, four things have now been announced

- WWE Tag Team Championships: The Street Profits(c) vs Pretty Deadly
- United States Championship: LA Knight(c) vs Braun Strowman
