The champ will kick off Smackdown.

Tonight Friday Night Smackdown comes to us from Omaha, Nebraska, and coming into the day only two things had been announced for tonight’s show. Yet this afternoon, WWE has told us what, and more specifically who will kick off tonight’ blue-branded show on FOX.

WWE has revealed the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will kick off tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown. If you don’t remember the show ended last week with Rhodes and Randy Orton being attacked by The Bloodline. Rhodes was tied up in the ropes and forced to watch as Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa triple powerbombed Orton through the announce table.
