Official Date Announced For 2026 Money In The Bank

Money in the Bank is taking place later in the year.

In 2026, New Orleans was supposed to host WrestleMania. Earlier this year, that was changed in favor of WWE running WrestleMania in Las Vegas for the second year in a row. As a make good, it was announced that New Orleans would get Money in the Bank next year. Now we know when.

WWE announced on Wednesday that the 2026 Money in the Bank PLE will be taking place on September 6th, 2026. This is the latest in the year that the Money in the Bank event has taken place. WWE announced the following:

WWE, in conjunction with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global, has announced that Money in the Bank will now take place Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026 — one week later than originally announced — at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

Money in the Bank features WWE’s biggest Superstars as they battle to earn a briefcase containing a contract for a championship match at a time and place of their choosing anytime within the next year.

As stated above, this is the latest in the year a Money in the Bank PLE has ever taken place. It will be taking place after SummerSlam, which is coming to us on August 1st and 2nd from Minneapolis.
