NXT Injury Report 1/9; Kay Lee Ray, Wesley Blake
January 9, 2020Two NXT Superstars injured last night on NXT.
NXT is back with lives shows and unfortunately, that means they had to bring back the NXT Injury Report as two NXT superstars suffered injuries last night on the show.
First off, NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray suffered a shoulder injury after taking a back suplex from Toni Storm and landing hard on her right shoulder. Ray reportedly refused medical attention after the match and insists she will be ready for her title defense Sunday at NXT UK Takeover; Blackpool II.
In the first Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic match of 2020, Wesley Blake of The Forgotten Sons suffered some sort of injury to his left foot. He will need to go in for X-rays to evaluate the severity of the injury. Blake left Full Sail on crutches and in a boot. His current status is listed as questionable.
One thing to remember with the NXT Injury Report is they sometimes add in storyline injuries here, but these two do not seem like they are storyline injured. Either way, take these with a grain of salt.
