NXT Championship Match Reportedly At WrestleMania, Main Roster Star Set For This Week’s NXT

Since 2016 NXT has held a Takeover event in conjunction with WrestleMania weekend. Even with that people have asked why an NXT Championship match is not featured at WrestleMania and that may all be changing this year.
First reported by Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, he states that Charlotte Flair is slated to challenge Rhea Ripley for the NXT Championship at WrestleMania.
It was first reported by John Pollock on Monday that Flair would not be facing either Becky Lynch or Bayley at WrestleMania. That then raised a lot of questions about what would happen with the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble winner on the grandest stage. Honestly, a challenge made to the NXT Champion seems too far out there prediction to even think about, but that seems like it is the direction.
Mike Johson of PWInsider confirms the news of the NXT Championship match at WrestleMania and does state that as of right now Flair is set to be in Orlando this Wednesday for NXT.
WWE has yet to even tease that this could be the direction for Flair and her WrestleMania challenge as well as Flair being at NXT this week. If we do hear anything further on Charlotte Flair versus Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania we will keep you updated.
