NJPW Announced First Event In Over 100 Days, Reveals New Japan Cup Brackets & More
June 8, 2020Tonight New Japan announced they are back with a month of events.
Monday night New Japan Pro Wrestling held a 12-minute press conference there return to running events after being off for over 110 days. they announced a month’s works of events starting on June 15th and capping off on July 12th with Dominion. In that month we will get the 2020 New Japan Cup.
The first event on June 15th will be entitled “Together Project special” live on New Japan World with a mystery card.

The next night will kick off the New Japan Cup running from June 16th to July 11th. They stated that only wrestlers who live in Japan can compete in the tournament due to travel bans into the country.

The finals of the New Japan Cup will take on July 11th from Osaka Jo-Hall. The winner of the tournament will then move on to the July 12 Dominion event the following night and challenge Tetsuya Naito for both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships. All shows from June 15th through July 3rd will be wan with no live crowd in attendance. The two shows from Osaka Jo-Hall on July 11th and 12th will be ran with a 33% capacity crowd and all events will air live on New Japan World.
