New Title Match Announced For NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19

November 11, 2024 Off By Tim Jarrell

An AEW wrestler will challenge for a New Japan title.

Coming up on January 4th will be New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 19. Coming into this past weekend six matches had been announced for the show. Now we know of a seventh match as an AEW wrestler will challenge for the NEVER Openweight Title.

This past Friday, Konosuke Takeshita defended the AEW International Title against TJP. Takeshita would then issue an open challenge to the NJPW locker room and out would come Shingo Takagi. It was then announced that Takeshita will actually challenge Takagi for the NEVER Openweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 19. It was also noted that if Takeshita is still the International Championship his title could also be on the line.

If we do hear anything further on Wrestle Kingdom 19, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
