New Segment Announced For Tonight’s NXT
August 5, 2020Tonight two men will try to clear the air.
A few weeks back former NXT Champion Adam Cole was on the Pat McAfee Show and there was a heated altercation after Pat said that Cole is small and couldn’t have done what he has done in NXT by himself. This triggered something in Cole who jumped from his seat, yelled at McAfee, and stormed off. Triple H went on the show after and said that Adam Cole is responsible for his actions. Cole would eventually and reluctantly offered an apology to McAfee, but that may not have been enough.
WWE has announced that Pat McAfee will actually be on tonight’s NXT.
Time to talk Bay Bay!
Pat McAfee is ready to clear the air with Adam Cole and is headed to NXT tonight hoping to do exactly that.
The last encounter between McAfee and Adam Cole resulted in a heated exchange and the former NXT Champion shoving one of the radio host’s producers. Triple H joined “The Pat McAfee Show” a couple days later and reiterated Cole’s apology in an attempt to ease tensions between the two.
Now, McAfee will take a mid-honeymoon break to try and relieve some of the drama from his professional life and bury the hatchet with Cole.
Will the former NFL Pro Bowler be able to mend the relationship, or will another war of words break out with the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history?

It is not 100% clear what the end goal is with this Adam Cole/Pat McAfee storyline. It got great buzz online when the first altercation went down but has sort of died off since then.
