New Match Announced For Tomorrow’s NXT

Another match is set for NXT this week.

So far for this week’s NXT has a Christmas segment, a street fight for the tag team titles, and a return. Today, WWE announced a fourth thing for this week’s show that will run with no competition from AEW as that show is starting late.

WWE has announced that Rhea Ripley will be taking on Dakota Kai this week on NXT.

The bad blood is set to boil over when Rhea Ripley and Dakota Kai meet on NXT this Wednesday night.

The rivalry between Ripley and Kai has long simmered on the black-and-gold brand. Earlier this summer, The Captain of Team Kick bested The Nightmare in an NXT Women’s Title No. 1 Contender Match thanks to a timely assist from Mercedes Martinez. Kai was once again on the winning side, as Team Candice bested Ripley’s Team Shotzi squad at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. WWE Digital can confirm Kai has been medically cleared following the brutal Women’s WarGames Match.

Along with this match, we will see the NXT Tag Team Title on the line in a Street Fight when Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan defend against Killian Dain and Drake Maverick. Brosan Reed will return to action and we will also get A Very Gargano Christmas from The Way.

Tomorrow’s NXT will be unopposed from other wrestling competition as AEW Dynamite this week is not set to air till after the NBA game on TNT which is supposed to go till at least 10 pm ET which is when NXT ends.
