New Japan Pro-Wrestling Announces Return To Madison Square Garden

New Japan has announced its return to the mecca.

Last night during the New Beginning in Osaka show, New Japan announced they will be returning to Madison Square Garden on August 22nd with a new event entitled Wrestle Dynasty.

NJPW is back in The World’s Most Famous Arena this summer

After April 2019’s G1 Supercard saw Madison Square Garden sell out in a matter of minutes, New Japan Pro-Wrestling returns to The World’s Most Famous Arena for an event on the grandest scale on August 22.

A Kingdom becomes a Dynasty in MSG this summer! Wrestle Dynasty will see the best of the best battle under the bright lights with the world watching in New York City!

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has run in MSG once before with  G1 Supercard, a joint show with Ring of Honor. At this time it is not known if Ring of Honor will be featured or have any matches on this upcoming shows. The last MSG show saw Kazuchika Okada defeat “Switchblade” Jay White to regain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

This new Wrestle Dynasty show will take place a little over a month before the start of the 2020 G1 Climax tournament and if we hear anything further regarding the show we will keep you updated.
