New Details On Edge’s New Contract With WWE
January 28, 2020WWE is Rated R again with Edge back.
Since SummerSlam last year when Edge appeared and speared Elias, rumors started going around that Edge had been cleared and maybe returning to WWE. Over the next five to six months Edge made it his new job to deny all of these rumors, but we know what all happened in the end.
This past Sunday Edge made his triumphant return in the Royal Rumble match to an absolutely amazing reaction from the crowd in Houston. Edge was then on RAW and had one of the best segments of the last decade with Randy Orton. That is one match and two appearances by the Rated R Superstar and now we have more details on Edge’s contract with the company.
According to Alex McCarthy of TalkSports, McCarthy reports that Edge signed a three-year contract worth $9 million. The contacts also have Edge working five matches a year with Royal Rumble counting as one for 2020. With the five matches, a year Edge is also slated to make 25 appearances as well. It is not clear if it is 25 appearances plus the five matches or if the five matches are counted in the 25 appearances.
It was also speculated that Edge’s five matches would be Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and the two Saudi Arabia shows.
