More info has emerged on Britt Baker’s suspension.

Earlier today it was been reported that former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker had been suspended and fined by AEW. Word is she said something backstage about MJF and his girlfriend Alicia Atout, Atout heard it and told MJF which led to him confronting Baker and the issue being investigated by HR. Now we have some more info on this situation.

According to an update from Fightful, they report that the word is Baker expressed frustration with MJF within the women’s locker room and the word made it back to MJF. It was noted that Atout was in the locker room. Details are this is a “he said she said” thing at this point but confrontations were had by all involved. It is noted that Will Ospreay even spoke with Baker at one point as well.

Word is Baker took issue with Atout telling MJF about what was said in the locker room. It was even claimed by one person that Baker cursed at Atout and wanted her kicked out of the locker room for discussing the conversation. Things seemingly led to an argument between MJF and Baker where MJF punched a wall before his match with Will Ospreay that went an hour. MJF had to be taped up more than usual because of it. The report also states that the two one-time close friends had a falling out at some point this last year.

Fightful says that they spoke to some near the situation who claim MJF entered the women’s locker room to have the conversation. When asking why MJF was not also suspended, they were told the investigation was conducted and numerous witnesses were interviewed leading to the suspension being decided on. Internally the claim from AEW was that the suspension led to one side’s version of the events being supported yet those Fightful spoke to claim otherwise.

It was noted that overall this was a divisive issue and most they spoke to were already “over” it and hoped to move on. Baker is still slated to face Mercedes Mone at All In for the TBA Championship as that match was made official after the suspension went into effect.
