Mustafa Ali Reveals Why He Gave RETRIBUTION Members New & Odd Names

Ali wants other members of RETRIBUTION to be judged by their names.

When RETRIBUTION’s core members were finally revealed we learned they were given new and odd names. No reason was given as to why they are now called T-Bar, MACE, Slapjack, and Reckoning. Mustafa Ali has revealed that there was a specific reason for this.

Mustafa Ali posted a video on Twitter talk about why the different members of RETRIBUTION under him now have different names. Ali stated that he was always just based on his name and because his name was made fun of. He felt that the other members of RETRIBUTION would never know what being in this group means if they don’t feel the ways he feels like this.

I want you to imagine something. I want you to imagine being judged because of your name. I want you to imagine being mocked because of how you look. Now I want you to imagine, a man named Mustafa Ali, that have given names and masked to members of RETRIBUTION so they too can know how he feels. So they too can be judged because of their names. They too can be mocked because of how they look. They too can see the world the way he sees it. Imagine that.

This is just WWE finally trying to give an actual reason for the masks and name changes. Yet the thing is that when RETRIBUTION was first explained by Ali, it was about people who have been overlooked and not treated to the best of their ability coming together to make a change. It was never about him being judge by his name and how he looks and then he making his followers feel the same way.
