Multiple Matches & More Announced For Tonight’s NXT

December 30, 2020 1 By Tim Jarrell

NXT is loading up tonight’s NXT.

Going into tonight’s NXT were already knew that Pete Dunne would be taking on Roderick Strong and Leon Ruff would be challenging for the NXT North American Championship. Now we know of three new matches and a new segment for tonight’s show.

Kicking off tonight’s show will kickoff with a match between Bronson Reed and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.

One week after “The Colossal” Bronson Reed made a dynamic return to NXT, the massive Superstar is set to go one-on-one with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott at the start of tonight’s show at 8/7 C on USA Network.

Despite his formidable size and force-of-nature offense, Reed will have his massive hands full with the high-flying Scott, who picked up an impressive win this past Wednesday night against Jake Atlas. Can that confidence carry Scott to victory against the big man?

The former NXT UK Tag Team Champions The Grizzled Young Veterans take on former NXT Tag Team Champions Breezango.

Every tandem in NXT’s Tag Team division is looking to impress as 2021 fast approaches, and the final NXT of 2020 features a must-see four-man duel as former NXT Tag Team Champions Breezango square off against former NXT UK Tag Team Champions The Grizzled Young Veterans on tonight’s show.

Can the flashy-but-fierce Tyler Breeze & Fandango conquer the tough-as-nails team of James Drake & Zack Gibson tonight?

After returning to NXT last week and attacking the NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, Mercedez Martinez will be in action.

Mercedes Martinez captured the attention of the NXT Universe this past Wednesday night when she returned to the black-and-gold brand and immediately targeted NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, ruthlessly and repeatedly pummeling the titleholder.

Clearly, Martinez has her sights set on the NXT Women’s Title and will look to make a statement when she returns to action tonight in the Capitol Wrestling Center.

NXT will also take a look at the feud between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez. The two will battle next week at NEW Year’s Evil in a Last Women Standing match.

Rhea Ripley and Raquel González aim to settle the score when they battle it out at NXT New Year’s Evil next Wednesday, but tonight we’ll dig deep into the chaos that has made this rivalry one of the most personal in recent NXT history. And if their mutual animosity as of late is any indication, the best (and most brutal) is yet to come.

Tonight’s NXT is the final NXt before next week’s big New Year’s Evil edition of the show where the NXT Champion Finn Balor will defend against Kyle O’Reilly. If we hear anything else regarding tonight’s show, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
