More Updates On The RAW Moving To Netflix

WWE’s partnership with Netflix will start before January.

We know that WWE content will start appearing on Netflix on January 1st. The first live RAW on Netflix will occur on January 6th and WWE will be doing things with Netflix before that. A big WWE event is set to take place at the Netflix HQ on December 3rd with Cody Rhodes, The Bloodline, and Liv Morgan among others set to be at the event.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that he has been told that WWE has been working on creative for the event already, intending to hit the road with a major show on January 6th. Word is also that the RAW move to Netflix will usher in the return of three hour RAWs with Smackdown on the USA Network following suit as well.

Now Dave Meltzer wrote in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that regarding RAW being three hours long each week is still not set as the show is still planned to not have a hard timeframe. Yet with several international deals still in place for RAW they may have to have a firm timeframe for the show. The company is also still trying to work out the advertising aspect for a three hour show compared to a two hour show.

If we do hear anything further on both RAW and Smackdown possibly being three hour shows at the start of the new year, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
