More Details On Tessa Blanchard Returning To TNA Wrestling

Tessa is back but is everyone on board?

Earlier today word came out that Tessa Blanchard is set to return to TNA Wrestling. The word is she could appear as early as tonight’s Final Resolution event in Atlanta tonight. Now we have some more details on her coming back to TNA.

According to a new report from Fightful, they write that the word of Blanchard’s return started to swirl on December 12 before Dave Meltzer reported it on December 13. They spoke to people in AEW, WWE, and TNA about this who were said to be in disbelief that the company was moving in this direction. The report notes that the news was being kept away from the entire roster at the time of details emerged. Even staff members who would normally know this kind of stuff didn’t either. The reason for this was the fear of backlash internally. Some in TNA have remained friends with Blanchard since her departure back in 2020 with one person telling Fightful that the hope is that there’s enough new talent to work with others haven’t soured on her.

As far as the news of Blanchard working with Jordynne Grace, Fightul was told that Grace has pushed back on the idea of working with Blanchard. Blanchard would come in as a heel for this program.

With Blanchard coming back to TNA, this was said to be something that had been in motion for at least two weeks. It was the decision of “a top person in Anthem” who was warned against this by others in the company. It was not the newly appointed Anthem President Carlos Silva.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider also confirms the news that she is set for the Final Resolution show tonight in Atlanta. Johnson states that Blanchard was flown to Atlanta on Thursday.
