MLW Reportedly In Talks With Major Streaming Service

It looks like one of the top streaming services is looking to get in the wrasslin’ game.

Court Bauer started Major League Wrestling in 2002 before the company went defunct in 2004. He then brought it back in 2017 and the company has been going like gangbusters ever since. In that same year, they announced they would air a weekly show on beIn Sports entitled “MLW Fusion.” MLW has had many great events and seen some of today’s top talent like Matt Riddle, MJF, Killer Kross, and others come through the promotion over the last few years.

Now it looks like Amazon has taken notice of MLW and may entering into an agreement to air MLW on their Amazon Prime streaming service. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, he does report that MLW and Amazon have been in talks in recent weeks discussing the potential of bringing MLW to Amazon Prime.

Johnson goes on to state that the company is actually in talks with other outlets as well with one source stating there is “momentum in a few directions with major players.”

Johnson also stated that he has reached out to MLW owner Court Bauer for a comment on the situation and he has not returned his request for comment.

At this time it is unclear if this would mean that MLW Fusion would move off of beIN Sports and FITE TV to air exclusively on Amazon Prime or if they could be creating new content for Amazon and continue to air Fusion elsewhere.
