Matt Hardy may be gone from WWE soon.

It has been reported recently that Matt Hardy’s current contract with the WWE expires on March 1st. It was also said that Hardy was not happy with negotiations of a new deal. Hardy had no issues with pay but rather with how he would be used in the future and we may have a little more insight on that.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he states that Hardy is expected to leave in March. Meltzer states that Hardy pitches the company ideas for his return and they shot down his idea.

Matt Hardy is expected to leave WWE in March. He produced new Broken videos and offered an idea for a β€œFree the Delete” series to lead to his return with the old character. But they weren’t interested.

When talking about what Hardy can do after leaving WWE, he speculated Hardy possibly going to AEW and being the leader of the Dark Order. AEW just started airing videos that show there is a higher power running the Dark Order and Hardy just started posting his “Free The Delete” videos. Not sure if any are connected at all.

Hardy is the leading speculated name for the leader of the Dark Order since they just started teasing a leader and Hardy just started putting out the videos. Plus, the Young Bucks and Broken Hardys had talked over a year-long program in ROH and Impact for three years ago, but when the Hardys got the WWE offer to return at Mania, they rushed through it.

If Matt does in fact leave WWE he will be going to whatever company he goes to by himself as his brother Jeff is getting time added to his contract for all the time he has missed over the next year. Against Hardy’s current deal with the WWE runs out on Sunday, March 1st. Remember with his contract expiring, he would not have a no-compete clause and can work anywhere he wants immediately.
