Matt Cardona Talks About Status With All Elite Wrestling
September 30, 2020Cardona is no longer committed to AEW.
Back on July 29th Matt Cardona, the former Zack Ryder, made his All Elite Wrestling saving Cody from an attack by The Dark Order. We had learned that Cardona had not actually signed a deal with AEW but had a short-term 5 appearance deal. The last time we saw Cardona on an AEW program was back at ALL OUT in an eight-man tag team match.
During an interview with the Pro Wrestling Junkies podcast, Cardona did confirm that he finished up he short-term deal with AEW back at ALL OUT on September 5th.
Hopefully, I’ll be there more now. The agreement we had was through the pay-per-view so that’s it. I didn’t go there to just to get three t-shirts, I went there to win some championships. So hopefully you’ll see me there very very soon.
In the interview, Cardona also talked about wanting to work a number of different independent promotions once everything opens back up and different companies can run again. Matt has not announced where he will be wrestling next and if we do hear any word on his future, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
