Match Pulled From SummerSlam Due To Injury
July 27, 2022One highly expected match is no more for this weekend.
This Saturday is SummerSlam from Nissan Stadium in Nashville and coming out of this week’s RAW nine matches had been announced for the show. Yet today WWE announced that one match is no longer taking place due to an injury.
WWE announced on The Bump that Seth Rollins will no longer be facing Riddle this weekend at SummerSlam. They noted that after being attacked by Rollins at the end of RAW, Riddle was injured and is not medically cleared to compete. They noted that Riddle suffered a brachial plexus injury which is basically a high-level stinger. During the announcement on The Bump they said for now the match has been postponed.
BREAKING: @WWERollins injured @SuperKingofBros with a vicious attack on #WWERaw that resulted in a brachial plexus injury (a stinger). Riddle is medically disqualified until full strength returns.

As far as WWE stating that Riddle suffered an injury, we don’t know if this is a storyline or if Riddle did suffer a real injury. There were rumblings coming out of RAW that the angle that ended the show was done to possibly pull this match from the card. Yet again, not known if that was because of a storyline or an actual injury.
If we do hear anything else on Riddle being “injured” and the match with Rollins not taking place, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
