Major Update On Tony Khan’s Purchase Of Ring Of Honor
May 4, 2022Tony fully owns ROH.
Back on the March 2nd edition of AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan announced that he was purchasing Ring of Honor. Since that announcement, ROH has basically run under the guidance of Khan and All Elite Wrestling. Now today, Khan has given the biggest update he can on his purchase of the company.
On Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, Tony Khan sent out a tweet hyping up tonight’s AEW Dynamite on TBS and revealed that he is finally the actual owner of Ring of Honor. He noted how that sale just closed and today is his first day as the ROH owner.
It’s Wednesday, you know what that means:#AEWDynamite LIVE on @TBSNetwork @ 8pm ET/7pm CT TONIGHT!
It’s a stacked card + my 1st day as @ringofhonor owner (the sale just closed), & we’ll crown an undisputed ROH Women’s World Champion!
Thank you everyone watching Dynamite Tonight! pic.twitter.com/b7shEjCqi0— Tony Khan (@TonyKhan) May 4, 2022
Speaking of Ring of Honor, tonight on Dynamite we will see the ROH Women’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo face off against the ROH Interim Women’s Champion to unify the two titles. We have seen Ring of Honor things sprinkled into AEW programming over the last few months and now that Khan fully owns ROH, maybe now we can get some new information on what could be next for the company as a whole.
If we do hear anything else on the deal finally closing and Tony Khan now being the actual owner of ROH, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
