MAJOR Update On The Rock Working WrestleMania Or Not

The People’s Champion may not be coming to Vegas.

Last yeah at WrestleMania 40 The Rock was one of the focal points of both nights. He showed up that Monday on RAW in a segment with Cody and teased the two doing something down the line. He then showed up at the end of Bad Blood with no indication of what that meant. Fans assumed he would be working WrestleMania in Las Vegas next year, but as of right now it seems he may not be.

Dave Meltzer reported over a month ago that The Rock has informed WWE that he may not be available for WrestleMania next year. Of course Rock disputed that somewhat on Instagram stating  to “not believe that shit.” Yet outside of that Bad Blood appearance WWE has been pretty quiet when it comes to talking about The Rock.

In a new report from Fightful, they report that WWE is currently working on creative plans for WrestleMania under the assumption that Rock will not be working the show. As noted previously, they state that the Bad Blood appearance was for the most part a late in the week decision and was not done for storyline purposes.

The Rock did just finish principal photography on the live action Moana movie and could be subject to re-shoots at some point next year with the movie releasing in the Summer of 2026. as of right now that was the only movie Rock is slated to be in that had an active shooting schedule. Everything thing else he has been announced or rumored to be in is either in development or pre-production.

Fightful does report that while at the Moana 2 premiere in Hawaii something was filmed between The Rock and Cody Rhodes but it is unclear what the content filmed is nor if it will ever get used for anything as well.
