Major Update On Randy Orton Possibly Injuring His Knee
December 30, 2019Was Orton really injured Sunday night?
Last night WWE ran a live event in Hershey, PA and minutes into a match between Randy Orton and AJ Styles, it looks like Orton may have injured his knee. The match was stopped after he landed awkwardly going for an RKO and Orton was helped to the back not being able to put weight on his left knee.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the “injury” to Orton was just part of a storyline. It was also stated that the storyline will play out on TV. Orton had been selling the knee the last two week’s on RAW and over the weekend at other live events so it seemed like something was up.
WWE did comment on the “injury” following last night’s live event stating the following,
“Amid various unconfirmed reports that Randy Orton sustained a leg injury during a match at WWE’s Live Event in Hershey, Pa., on Sunday night, WWE.com has learned that the 13-time World Champion is undergoing a medical evaluation. The extent of any potential injuries suffered by Orton is not yet known.”
As of right now, Orton nor Styles are announced for anything on tonight’s Monday Night RAW in Hartford, CT. If we do hear anything further on where this storyline could lead to we will keep you updated.
