Major Update On CM Punk Getting Cleared Ahead Of SummerSlam

Punk may be cleared.

Coming up in just a few weeks is SummerSlam from Cleveland Browns Stadium and one of the biggest matches set for the show is Drew McIntyre versus CM Punk. Yet at this time Punk has not been fully cleared to return to the ring. As we say that though, Punk could get cleared this week.

According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, CM Punk was at the WWE Performance Center yesterday according to multiple sources. Johnson states that Punk was said to be there working out in the ring to get officially cleared.

In recent years, injured WWE Superstars working out in the ring at the PC has been seemingly the final step for them to get cleared to return to the ring. If you remember this was the case with Randy Orton last year when fans got video of him outside the PC a few months before he returned at Survivor Series.
