Major Title Matches Announced For NXT Over The Next Few Weeks, Double Champ Coming

Are we getting the first-ever “Champ Champ” in NXT?

NXT right now has two main men’s champions. Adam Cole is not only the NXT Champion but the longest-reigning NXT Champion. Keith Lee is the current NXT North American Champion and in the next few weeks neither could maybe a champion. In just a few weeks one man will be holding both titles.

Tonight on NXT Keith Lee stated that he wanted to challenge Adam Cole for the NXT Title. Adam Cole stated he wanted to challenge Lee for the North American title and hold both titles at the same time. After Lee came down to the ring to confront Cole they were interrupted by Johnny Gargano who also wanted to challenge Lee. This was not it though, Finn Balor would then come out to challenge Lee as he stated the North American Title is something he has yet to win. Balor then stated that maybe he could challenge Cole as well for the NXT Title and that is when NXT General Manager William Regal would appear on the screen.

Regal stated that next week on NXT, Keith Lee will defend his title against both Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor. That is not where the fun stops though. Regal would then announce that the winner of the triple threat North American Title match will then on July 8th challenge Adam Cole for the NXT Title. In this match not only will the NXT Title be on the line, but the North American Title as well. The winner on July 8th will then walk out the night as the double champion and the holder of both titles.
