Major Injury Update On Ridge Holland

October 9, 2020 1 By Tim Jarrell

Ridge Holland is going to be out or a while.

This past Wednesday on NXT we saw Ridge Holland brawl with both Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan. When Lorcan dove over the top rope and Holland went to catch him, Holland’s left leg gave out and he was stretchered out of the building.

WWE has given an update on Holland’s injuries in this week’s NXT Injury Report. WWE revealed that Holland suffered both a knee and ankle injury. Holland suffered an ankle dislocation and fracture. As for the knee, Holland suffered a patellar dislocation and a ruptured patellar tendon. WWE’s medical staff were able to pop the knee back in place at ringside and the ankle was popped back in place at the hospital.

Holland underwent surgery Thursday and as far as how long he will need to heal up before getting back into the ring is not known. This obviously could not have come at a worse time for the former Rugby player and he was starting a top program with the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history Adam Cole. A torn patellar tendon is usually at least 6 months of recovery time, but In most cases, it could be up to a year before they are back at 100%.

If we hear anything about Holland’s future and recovery, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
