Latest Updates On Mandy Rose Being Fired By WWE

Potential issues with sponsors led to Mandy Rose’s firing.

Yesterday news came out that Mandy Rose had been fired by WWE. The word was it was over the nature of the content she was posting on her FanTime account being too sexual. She dropped the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez this past week on NXT seemingly finishing up her time with the company. Now we have a few updates on her release.

Fightful reported that WWE sources indicated that the company felt like the content itself was “not appropriate for one or more of their partner relationships.” They also noted that Rose “didn’t seem interested” in stopping posting the content. Their update also noted that Rose had indicated to people over the last few months that she knew the type of content she was posting could end up getting her in trouble with WWE management.

Dave Meltzer also talked about this on last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer discussed how Shawn Michaels found out about the content and that led to taking the NXT Women’s Title off Rose.

“They switched the whole show around because they – what happened was, there was a meeting and Matt Bloom brought to Shawn Michaels, told him what some of the stuff that she’s been putting on her subscription service is. And told Shawn what was there, and Shawn’s immediate thing was, ‘We’ve got to get the title off of her immediately’. Switched around the whole show, got the title off of her.”

As of right now, it is also not clear if Rose knew before the show this week and the title change if she was being released or if she did not find out till after. It is also not been reported if there was a 90-day non-compete attached to her release as well.
