Latest On WWE Going Back On The Road
April 30, 2021WWE has plans for NXT and the main roster in play.
A big topic amongst fans and those in WWE has been when they will they have fans back at all show and when they will go back out on the road. We have heard that after last weekend’s UFC show with 15,000 fans in Jacksonville, many backstage in WWE were asking why they could not be doing that as well and doing that sometime soon. We also heard WWE wants fans back for SummerSlam but nothing about before that.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that WWE does have plans to possibly start running live events and returning to the road in July but AEW could speed that up. Meltzer reports that if AEW were to announce going on the road before WWE then WWE could fast track their plans to get out there before AEW does with RAW and Smackdown.
As far as NXT does go, Meltzer reports that the plan for NXT is to start back up with live events sometime in the third quarter of 2021. That means late summer or fall.
WWE President Nick Khan did state in the last WWE investors call that they did want fans at SummerSlam so it looks like that could be the latest as far as the next WWE event with actual fans in attendance.
if we do hear anything else on WWE have shows with fans and going back on the road, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
