Latest On Rey Mysterio Contract Status, AEW Offer Details

All Elite Wrestling really would like to sign Rey Mysterio.

We have heard for weeks now that Rey Mysterio has been working for WWE without a contract but has been negotiating details for a new contract with the company. It was stated that the week after Extreme Rules that Mysterio went to Standford and had a meeting with Vince McMahon.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, All Elite Wrestling offered Rey Mysterio a contract wich matched the per match deal of what WWE has been offering Rey. As of this writing, Mysterio has not signed a contract with WWE and it is unclear how much interest he how shown in the AEW deal.

It has been said in the past that one of Mysterio’s main goals right now for his career is to help get his son Dominik’s career going. He stated one off the last things he wants to do before he retires is to team with Dominik in an actual match. Is that in WWE or is that in AEW, that could all depend on where Rey decides to sign.
