Latest News On WWE’s Return To Saudi Arabia
July 26, 2021WWE plans to go overseas before winter.
WWE has not run a show in Saudi Arabia since February 27, 2020. That was the WWE Super Showdown event where Goldberg defeated The Fiend for the Universal Championship. That plan was to run a second show last year, but that did not happen due to COVID-19. WWE has yet to run a Saudi Arabia show in 2021, yet we may know the plan on that now.
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, Zarian reports that the current plan is for the company to return in October. The possible date for the event is October 21st, yet that has not been fully confirmed.
Hearing from source:

WWE currently has a deal with The Saudi General Entertainment Authority to run two live events in the country through 2027. With WWE not running a second show in 2020 and only possibly running one in 2021, we do not know if that will impact WWE’s deal to possibly having the SGEA wanting WWE to make up those missed shows or not.
If we do hear anything else on WWE returning to Saudi Arabia this fall, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
I found this very helpful and will be sharing it with my friends.
