Jon Moxley To Defend The World Title Tonight On Dynamite
September 23, 2020An unexpected title match tonight on Dynamite.
Earlier today Lance Archer confirmed that he had to go home from Jacksonville because he had tested positive for COVID-19. He stated he go it from a family member who got it from a friend. With that, the six-man tag team match had to be scrapped from tonight’s episode of Dynamite. Jon Moxley will still be in action though.
AEW has announced that since the six-man tag match is not taking place Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Title tonight against Eddie Kingston. Kingston has been saying the last few weeks that he was never technically eliminated from the Casino Battle Royal at ALL OUT.

Moxley is set to defend the AEW World Title against Lance Archer in three weeks on the October 14th edition of Dynamite. With Archer testing positive for COVID-19 you would hope he is cleared by then but right now I have to think the match is now up in the air.
