John Cena Give Info On How Many Dates He Is Looking For With Retirement Tour
August 13, 2024Cena working around three dozen dates.
Earlier this year at Money in the Bank, John Cena said 2025 will be the final year for him as an in-ring pro wrestler. He noted that he will do a retirement tour that will last from January to December and they were working on the number of dates he will make. Now in a new interview, Cena has given an estimate on how many dates he can do next year.
In a new interview with Collider, John Cena talked about a number of topics including his new movie ‘Jackpot’, Peacemaker season two, and his retirement tour. When speaking of 2025 Cena did reveal that right now he is looking and around 36 dates around the world.
“This is one thing I can give you—I can probably confirm the Peacemaker will take us to the end of 2024, and I can say that with the utmost conviction because I have given the calendar year 2025 to WWE. I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January and I’ll end it in December. It’s gonna be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So, that’s what I’m doing in 2025.”
As far as the roughly 36 dates do go, one would assume those are not all matches. It would make sense that there are matches and appearances throughout the year around his acting schedule. We know Cena teased working Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania but nothing past that has been teased.
