Jeff Hardy & Sheamus Segment From Smackdown Gets A Major Edit On West Coast Feed
June 13, 2020If you watch Smackdown at 8pm on the west coast then you did not see Sheamus get pee to the face.
Last night, Friday Night Smackdown opened with a contract signing between Jeff Hardy and Sheamus. During the segment, Sheamus asked Hardy to take a drug test to prove he is clean going into their match at Backlash. Hardy would do so and the segment would end with Hardy throwing the jar of pee in Sheamus’ face. Yet on the west coast people did not see the actual end of the segment.
If you watched on the west coast feed of Smackdown you would have seen Hardy pee in the jar, the doctor examine the unit for a few moments before the show would abruptly cut to commercial. The show would then come back with The New Day entering the ring. This means they also cut out the segment with Sheamus in a bathroom rinsing out his mouth and the doctor telling Sheamus that Hardy had passed the drug test.

At this time it is unclear why the latter half and following subsegment was cut from the show when it aired three hours later on the west coast. The only thing that you can think of is that this was a move made by FOX themselves as they had not seen the pre-taped show before it aired on the east coast. Now we don’t know that as a fact but it is the only logical thing that makes sense.
