Jay White Not Expected To Stay With New Japan Pro Wrestling

Last week Jay White challenged for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships but was unsuccessful. After he stated her was done with New Japan and New Year Dash was going to be it for him. As we reported, we stated that there is major interest from WWE and Triple H really wants to see Whit in NXT.
Now according to The Super J-Cast, they report that several sources have indicated that there is doubt that White will extend his contract with New Japan. They also state that WWE could be looking to make a “strong play” for White.
Several sources have indicated there is some doubt whether Jay White will extend his NJPW contract, rumoured to be up at the end of the month. WWE are believed to be making a strong play for him and it’s 50/50 whether he stays or goes.

Jey White was also brought up by WrestleVotes on Twitter who states that some on WWE have actually gone out of their way to speak highly of Jay White.

We still do not know when Jay white’s contract expires with New Japan. He said his last obligated day was New Year Dash, but there is no other New Japan shows in January so his contract could be up at the end of the month.
