Jamin Pugh, known to many as Jay Briscoe, has passed away at the age of 38.

Tuesday night a tweet was sent out by the owner of Ring Of Honor Tony Khan announcing the passing of Joe Briscoe. Khan did not give any details on the passing but did state he would do whatever he could to help the family. Briscoe would have turned 39 years old next week.

Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today.
Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We'll do whatever we can to support his family.

Jay Briscoe, along with his real brother Mark was the current Ring of Honor tag team champions winning the title last month from FTR in a dog collar match. Jay debuted in pro wrestling back in 2000 and spent just about all of his time in the business in Ring of Honor. Jay was a part of the first-ever Ring of Honor show and was a two-time ROH World Champion, one-time World Six-Man Tag Team Champion, and a 13-time World Tag Team Champion.
