Is WWE Looking To Shake Up Roster With Move To Netflix?

Could some Smackdown stars be moved to RAW?

Coming up on January 6th WWE moved Monday Night RAW from the USA Network to Netflix. Overnight and this morning they made a few announcements with interesting names advertised for the show. Four Superstars advertised for the show are John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Bianca Belair. This has led to much speculation online as to whether Reigns and Rhodes could be moved to RAW yet it does not look the case.

According to Mike Johnson on a recent PWInsider Elite show, he noted that WWE is not moving Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to RAW with the move to Netflix. It is more just all guns blazing and having the most popular stars in the company on that first show to draw any many eyeballs as possible.

“No. Roman & Cody are not leaving SmackDown to go to RAW. It is just that it’s all guns blazing, and they’re gonna do every single thing they can to make that Netflix debut in Los Angels as important as possible.”

As we have seen over the last year in WWE the brand split is pretty solid but not 100% hard and fast. We do see some crossover from time to time when it all makes sense and this is just another case over Smackdown wrestlers on RAW for a night making sense. Just like how The Usos and Sami Zayn have been on both RAW and Smackdown over the last few weeks to build towards Survivor Series, WWE will have crossover between brands but it does not mean anyone at this time is being officially moved brands.

If we do hear anything further on the January 6th Monday Night RAW, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
