Injured NXT Superstar Makes Big Return Tonight
February 6, 2020NXT can dream again.
Last week on NXT we saw a video play that in the end said “2 5 20” teasing something big for this week’s show. That something big was the return of the Velveteen Dream.
The main event of this week’s NXT saw a six-man tag team match that ended in a huge brawl betweenΒ Undisputed Era and the team of Tommaso Ciampa, Matt Riddle, and Dunne. After Undisputed Era beat down and humiliated Ciampa that is when the lights went out and Dream appeared perched on the top rope.
Dream brawled with all four members of Undisputed Era but really set his sights on Roderick Strong. Strong beat Dream for the North American Title back in September and then “injured” Dream in October. As the two fought, Dream would rip off his tights to reveal another pair of tights that said “Call Me Up Marina” on his ass. Of course, that is a reference to Strong’s wife Marina Shafir.
