Internal Email Sent To WWE Talent Regarding 3rd Party Ban

October 2, 2020 1 By Tim Jarrell

WWE sent a friendly reminder to talent on the third party bans.

Back on September 3rd, WWE sent out a mandate that all talent needed to cut ties with third party revenue streams like Twitch and Cameo. The thought was if they used their real names and not their WWE names that would be alright to continue doing what they have been doing with no change. Then WWE sends another email reminding that talent had till the end of this week to sever tied with their third party revenue platforms.

Fightful has obtained that reminder email sent out to talent that stated the following,

β€œJust a friendly reminder that this Friday, October 2 is the deadline for severing any unauthorized business relationships with 3rd parties. As was mentioned in my September 3 message, continued violations beyond this deadline will results in fines and may result in suspension of termination. If you need further details, please contact our EVP of Operations, Brad Blum. Thank you. Vince.”

It is unclear what talent will do regarding their Twitch channels after today’s deadline. We have seen over the last month many change their channels from their WWE names to other names. We have even seen some change their Twitter handles all together from their WWE names even giving up their verified blue checkmark to do so. We have not seen any WWE talent live on Twitch today, yet on the Smackdown side of things those talent are in Orlando for tonight’s Smackdown so that could be why most are not live.

If we hear anything further on this developing story, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
