Injured NXT Superstar Vacates Championship

NXT does not currently have tag team champions.

Last week in the main event of NXT we saw the NXT Tag Team Titles on the line when Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan defended against NXT Champion Finn Balor and Karrion Kross. During the match, Danny Burch suffered an injury that took him out and he could not complete the match. Lorcan would go on to successfully defend the titles on his own. With that, this injury has caused an issue for the Tag Team Champions.

The word coming out of last week’s show was that Burch had suffered a separated shoulder. WWE confirmed that news this morning that Burch did in fact suffer a separated shoulder. NXT General Manager William Regal announced that the NXT Tag Team Championships have been vacated and that he will announce the future of the titles tomorrow night on NXT.

It is unclear how severe how bad the injury is to Danny Burch and how long he will be out of action. If we do hear anything else regarding Danny Burch’s injury, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
