IMPACT Wrestling Official Reportedly Reported Investigated For Sexual Harassment

One IMPACT official is being investigated for acting out of turn.

It looks as if one top IMPACT Wrestling management official was under an internal investigation due to a number of claims including sexual harassment in the workplace that came to light.

According to Thomas Fenton of Wrestling News World, Fenton reports that an internal investigation was launched regarding a former talent who claimed sexual harassment occurred and the official in charge used contract extension clauses as leverage to ensure everything was kept under wraps. The accusers were made to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements to keep the news from getting out. One accuser was granted their release and did not have their contract extended.

It was reported that the investigation was conducted over the past few weeks.

Anthem Sports gave the following statement to Wrestling News World,

“Anthem confirms that an allegation of inappropriate behavior by a member of the Impact Wrestling executive team was made by a former talent, but not until many months after the talent had been released. These allegations played no part in the decision by Impact Wrestling to release the talent. Once the allegation was made, Anthem engaged an external human resources consultant to conduct an investigation, who retained independent counsel for advice on the matter. An inquiry was held in consultation with the complainant and the allegations were proven to be completely without merit. The matter is closed. No disciplinary action was deemed necessary and none was taken.”
