How Many Fans Could Attend Raymond James Stadium For WrestleMania
October 28, 2020Mania next year is likely to take place in Tampa.
We have heard over the last month that WrestleMania next year is not going to take place in Los Angeles but in Tampa instead. This was made even more likely after the Governor of California put even harder restrictions for venues like indoor stadiums and theme parks to open. For every 100k people in their county, they need to have less than 1-2% new COVID-19 cases in a 21 day period. With that Florida looks like the only option.
With WWE possibly running WrestleMania next year in Raymond James Stadium, the question is how many people will be allowed to attend. It is not likely they will be able to fill the stadium at 100%. One thing we can look at is the 2021 Superbowl that will be run in Raymond James Stadium next February.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, he reports that the plan for the Superbowl is to run at 20% capacity. Raymond James Stadium can fit up to 65,618 fans for the Super Bowl that would be 13-15,000 fans in the stadium.
Seating capacity at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa is 65,618, maybe more with temporary seating for a Super Bowl. So attendance at Super Bowl LV could be between 13-15,000 people. https://t.co/AZT14pyRaE

Now if you take that and think about it for WWE you also have to add in the roughly 1,000 floor seats WWE will add as well. with that in mind, at 20% capacity, they could possibly run about 16,000 fans in attendance. It was also stated that fan for the Super Bowl would sit in plexiglass pods spread out by six feet.
My question now to you, not taking into consideration what tickets prices would be. Would you be willing to attend WrestleMania in Tampa with possibly 16,000 other fans as well?
